This position is for a Senior Data Scientist in the Artificial Intelligence Solutions (AIS) business unit in Skyworks. OurTeam is responsible for providing solutions to various aspects of the business, with a current focus on speech and audio signal processing in the embedded space. In our work, we have the unique opportunity to span the entire vertical of product development, including basic research, rapid prototyping, chip design, and customer support. Candidates are expected to manage assigned projects asindividual or team-based contributions.
- Analyzing, validating, and cleaning data
- Design/manage acquisition and ingesting new data in a database
- Accessing data via Object-relational-mapping and SQL, written in python
- Preparing training and testing datasets for machine learning models
- Develop, oversee, and analyze objective and subjective evaluation of model performance, using various metrics
- BS in a relevant field,and 5 years of relevant experience;or MS in a relevant field, and 3years of relevant experience
- Exploratory data analysis, validation, and cleaning
- Data acquisition, database schemas, ETL pipeline, blob storage
- ORM and SQL access
- Preparing training and testing datasets
- Development, administration, and statistical analysis of objective and subjective evaluationsof model outputs, using various metrics
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Deep learning frameworks
- Audio, speech, and other signals
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Experience with Azure/AzureML (or equivalent cloud platform)
- Experience using version control: Git, GitHub/GitLab
- Experience with Linux environment

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$112,500 -$215,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
