Kindergarten Teacher

POSITION: Kindergarten Teacher DUTIES: * Create lesson plans to teach students subjects, such as reading, science, and math * Observe students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses * Instruct an entire class or smaller groups of students * Grade students assignments * Communicate with parents or guardian about their child s progress * Work with students individually to help them overcome specific learning challenges * Prepare students for standardized tests required by the state * Develop and enforce classroom rules to teach children proper behavior * Supervise children outside of the classroom for example, during lunchtime or recess. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in education or related * Colorado Teaching License * Fingerprint/Background Clearance WAGE: $45,000/year + Depending on Experience BENEFITS: Health Insurance is available through the School District Retirement benefits through PERA SHIFTS: Full-time - 40 hours per week JOB SITE: Hotchkiss, Colorado - Hotchkiss K-8 School The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting and supporting of students.
