Job Title: RN Oncology
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: Full Time Permanent
Shift: 12 Hours a day 36 hours a week
Pay range: Salary+ Relocation and Benefits

Job Description

  1. Assess and monitor the health status of oncology patients, including vital signs and symptoms.
  2. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Provide pre-treatment and post-treatment education to patients and their families.
  4. Manage and alleviate side effects of cancer treatment through medication and other therapeutic interventions.
  5. Coordinate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  6. Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medication logs.
  8. Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and families dealing with cancer diagnoses and treatments.
  9. Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients by following infection control procedures.
  10. Participate in oncology-related clinical trials and research as needed.
  11. Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology nursing through continuous education and training.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.
  • 1 year Nursing experience.
