Job Title: Import Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Import Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to accurately determine pertinent parts of import documentation, perform piece count reconciliation, and execute precise data entry. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to trace freight as needed. You will assist with updating the Cargowise system filters and manage delivery orders and instructions efficiently. Additionally, you will obtain quotes from various service providers, ensure profitability, and handle delivery charges and disputes.

Responsibilities

  • Determine pertinent parts of import documentation.

  • Perform piece count reconciliation (e.g., create delivery orders for specific quantities).

  • Execute accurate data entry.

  • Look up and update arrival notice information.

  • Trace freight as needed.

  • Assist with updating Cargowise system filters (Cargowise is Excel-based).

  • Create delivery orders and delivery instructions as needed.

  • Obtain quotes from truckers, warehouses, and related service providers.

  • Maximize profit margins for the department and company.

  • Discern needed equipment for deliveries.

  • Obtain proof of delivery.

  • Reconcile delivery charges and address disputed charges.

  • Assist Import CSR with daily functions as needed.

  • Clean up Cargowise system filters as needed.

Work Environment

This position requires working on-site in a cubicle setting. The role involves interacting with various stakeholders through email and phone communication. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, encouraging proactive assistance and teamwork.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
