North Vending is a growing supplier for B2B vending, POS, and Coin operated machines in the Illinois area.
*This is a contract opportunity with potential to become permanent or take part in more future projects.
Responsibilities
• Refurbish, repair, curve, and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and kiosks.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements.
• Collaborate with the team to plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery as needed.
• Perform general maintenance tasks such as, carpentry, and minor technical repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
• Perform other general warehouse tasks as directed, such as cleaning, moving of kiosks and equipment, sorting, and organizing parts and supplies, shipping and receiving, etc.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
• Good physical condition and endurance
• Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures, safety policies, and company protocols.
• Technical certifications or trade school education is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
