Job specification

  • Provide exceptional nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mother and baby.
  • Assist with the delivery process, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring effective pain management.
  • Work closely with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Educate and support patients and their families through the labor and delivery process, offering guidance and emotional support as needed.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, including fetal heart rates, labor contractions, and other key metrics.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or related obstetric care. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) is preferred.
