Job Description:

As a CGS employee supporting Team GDIT at the Fort Riley Mission Training Complex (MTC), you will provide hands-on instruction to Soldiers regarding multiple facets of system functionality of MTC-fielded Mission Command Systems and Constructive Simulations. You will support Battalion and below training exercises and classes to demonstrate Army MCS capabilities to enhance Situational Awareness and Mission Command.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist unit leadership in planning simulation training that will meet collective training objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute simulation training at echelons ranging from Squad to Battalion on Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) and MCS computer hardware and software.
  • Perform classroom setup, networking of systems, and supporting simulations, and instruction on applicable mission command information systems.
  • Execute training on the system IAW Army standard Programs of Instruction (POI) following approved course instructional times.
  • Provide individual MCS training to standard and on time, with 90% of the students successfully completing the course of instruction and receiving system certification.
  • Following doctrine outlined in the TC 6-0 series "Training the Mission Command Warfighting Function".
  • Teach and coach during exercise/event execution, BSWS functionality and operations to training unit personnel who will be operating simulation workstations during training exercises and class training events.
  • On occasions, operate BSWS for the unit during execution of a training event.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret security clearance (Required).
  • Bachelors degree
  • Must possess a valid State Driver's License and maintain Post driving privileges.
  • Advance knowledge of their principles, methods, and techniques used in the delivery of Army simulation training programs.
  • Knowledge of one or more Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS)
  • Ability to learn a second Army MCIS and serve as an Assistant Instructor when needed.
  • Battle Staff training and experience with knowledge of relevant technology or subject matter.
  • Demonstrated effective teaching, instruction, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian personnel.

Experience:

  • Recently retired Army Warrant/NCO/Officer with Battalion or higher staff experience using Military Command Information Systems
  • MCIS experience: 6 years (Required)
  • Army Veteran: 10 years (Required)

Working Conditions: On-Site, indoors, at the Fort Riley Mission Training Complex

Required Travel: Minimal

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Week: Monday - Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)

Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)

Overtime: as required

Contract Length: More than 1 year
