Guest Service Agent

Job Summary:
We are seeking candidates with a friendly and professional demeanor to exceed guests' expectations and deliver excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a flexible schedule, and a willingness to work weekends and holidays. Prior computer knowledge is required, and Hilton experience is a plus.
Job Purpose:
Perform check-in and check-out procedures and all other Guest Service tasks in a pleasant, efficient, and professional manner, contributing to an overall positive guest experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests, providing room keys without announcing room numbers.
- Answer inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Maintain records of room availability and guest accounts; manage reservations (confirmations, cancellations, etc.).
- Process guest payments, post charges for services, and handle cash in line with hotel policies.
- Transmit and receive messages via telephone, fax, and copier.
- Enforce hotel and company credit policies; account for all cash and deposits.
- Greet guests warmly and take ownership of resolving any problems effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills to provide accurate information.
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
- Proficiency in hotel operating systems.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 months in hospitality, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel.
- Frequently required to climb stairs, balance, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to carry 25 pounds while navigating stairs.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Work environment noise levels range from moderate to loud.
