Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated MRI Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Siemens MRI equipment, be IV certified, and demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position includes weekend and evening shifts, with additional hours potentially available.
Schedule:
- Days per week: 4
- Shift: Friday (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM), Saturday (7:30 AM - 7:30 PM), Sunday (7:30 AM - 7:30 PM), Monday (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- On-call/weekend required: Weekends
- Position patients on the MRI table and apply specified coils close to the area of interest following radiologist protocols.
- Explain the use of communication devices to patients for safe interaction during the examination.
- Input patient information such as medical history and scan parameters into the system.
- Operate the MRI equipment to specify scan sequences and adjust the equipment's settings as necessary.
- Monitor patients during the procedure via control room windows and closed-circuit TV, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Review images on video display screens to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Photograph MRI images as needed using camera equipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, especially regarding the use of metal objects near the MRI machine.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of experience as an MRI Technician.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to read, interpret documents, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
- NJ State RT License.
- MRI Certification (MR Certified).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
