Engineering Technician

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to assemble high vacuum semiconductor equipment and metrology equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the team in the assembly of E/M equipment and hardware. If you have two or more years of experience assembling automotive, aerospace, electronics, or semiconductor equipment, we would like you to join our team.

Target Compensation: $25.00 - 35.00 per hour

• Responsibilities:
• Assist with the assembly of mechanical assemblies, hardware, vacuum assemblies, cryogenic, sub-assemblies, and E/M assemblies as well as cable and harness assembly.
• Perform random sample inspection and first article inspection.
• Perform manufacturing acceptance testing involving visual inspections, physical dimensional measurements, electrical checks, leak checking.
• Use and maintenance of production capital equipment such as heat-treating furnace, X-ray machine, induction brazing machine, electron beam welding machine, mineral insulated cable swaging machine, MIG/TIG welders, orbital welders, optical microscopes, 3D profilers, and CMM.
• Operate advanced manufacturing and metrology equipment.
• Provide feedback to Design Engineering team regarding design for manufacturing/assembly.
• Perform hardware assembly and testing to the subcomponent level and top level.
  

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of torque wrenches, crimping tools, multimeters, pressure gages, and calipers.
• Familiar with CAD programs.
• Ability to work with high electrical equipment.
