Junior-Level Design Engineer

Sayres Defense is seeking an experienced Junior-Level Design Engineer with a current SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering/technical support for concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews; In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment.
- Provide naval architecture, marine engineering, electrical engineering and in-depth engineering support for the Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E); Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence (C4I); and mission equipment and systems installed aboard ships, boats, craft and targets, including Combat Logistics Force (CLF), Special Mission Ships, and FMS assets.
Preferred Specialization:
DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Foreign Military Sales; Military Sealift Command procedures and processes
Qualifications & Clearance Requirements
Minimum Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Entry level in program/project management/engineering
- Secret Clearance verifiable in DISS/JPAS
Preferred Skill Sets of Qualified Candidates
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer License
- 3+ years DoD/DoN program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
