The Lab Packer plays a crucial role in our team's success by safely handling and transporting sensitive client materials. Responsibilities: Teamwork: Actively participate as a valued member of the team, fostering collaboration and open communication. Safety: Prioritize safety in all aspects of work, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. • Logistics: Accurately maintain DOT Manifests and Logs. • Operate company apparatus on public roadways safely. • Plan and execute efficient transportation routes while adhering to all regulations. • Material Handling: Safely handle, segregate, verify, and load client materials according to established procedures (e.g., paper pack plans). • Assist with Solid Waste Processing production. • Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response operations. • Be available for on-call emergency response rotation as needed. • Customer Service: Maintain excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials. • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients. • Administrative: Accurately perform ticketing in Field FX. • Maintain accurate records and documentation. Qualifications: Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree in a Physical Science field preferred. • **Licenses & Certifications: **Valid CDL A (or willing to obtain) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements. • Physical Demands: Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly. • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, or kneel for extended periods. • Ability to move/manipulate drums/totes with appropriate carts/equipment. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Excellent hand-eye coordination. • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a forklift/skid steer. • Proficient with MS Office Suite. • Ability to tolerate full-face respirator. • Essential Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision. • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. • Excellent situational awareness and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. • Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality. Preferred Competencies:Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Knowledge: Working knowledge of environmental and DOT regulations as outlined in 29/40/49 CFR. • Safety: Positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety. • Technical: Excellent grasp of general chemistry concepts. Compensation: $23 - $35 hourly
