SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is the planning and execution of adult, family and children's activities, corporate and local group recreation and annual member events as well as assisting in the supervision of children at the Swim Complex.

The Supervisor must be visible and accessible to Members as well as Employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of college and 6 months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Lifeguard Certification preferred, CPR and First Aid Certifications required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver's license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
  • Work to enhance member and guest experience so that each guest becomes a repeat guest.
  • Implement cutting edge ideas for children's activities and crafts in the pavilion area of the Beach Club and implement activities and entertainment for social gatherings.
  • Maintain a log containing the number of children attending the children's activities and events.
  • Assist with the administrative duties and financial organization for the recreation activities of the Beach Club.
  • Conduct tours of the complex for members and guests.
  • Responsible for setting up various aspects of group recreation activities, including transportation, demonstrations, reservations, decorations, supplies, photos, etc.
  • Assist in developing and implementing additional activities and ideas for family holiday weekends.
  • Provide new ideas for event décor.
  • Create and update the Beach Club activity schedule for approval by the Club Manager & F&B Manager.
  • Responsible for ordering, purchasing, coding receipts for activity and game supplies as needed.
  • Work as the F&B Captain at the Beach Club when needed.
  • Communicate and coordinate all food needs for Beach Club events and activities with the PCC Executive Chef and PCC F&B Manager.
  • Due to the fluctuating demands of the PCC's operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions. Therefore, as an essential part of this position, the Recreation Supervisor will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help the team.
  • Responsible for maintaining open lines of communication and good rapport with the Members, guests and parents of children who participate in the activities and events at the Beach Club.
  • Supervise and ensure Beach Club Attendants are adhering to and enforcing all complex rules and regulations and assist the Beach Club Attendants whenever necessary.
  • Ensure that all State, Village and Moore County standards and requirements are met.
  • Assist with season opening and closing duties, addressing items that require upkeep and overall appearance of the facility and equipment.
  • Complete weekly schedule for Pool Complex including F&B.
  • Post Schedule weekly in designated areas.
  • Work with F&B manager to get appropriate uniforms ordered.
  • Responsible for approving Payroll for Beach Club & F&B.
  • Responsible for the hiring & training of staff.
  • Maintain Beach Club Complex & Snack Shack Hours of Operation are updated and communicated throughout membership and the Main Club.
  • Attend BEO meetings as scheduled.
  • Attend Pool, Lake, and Fitness Monthly Meeting with Members.
  • Responsible for coverage at PCC Pool complex as needed.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises Employees. Responsibilities include: hiring, training Employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
