Job Description: The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized examinations in MRI, adapts procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results, and prepares patients for examinations under the direction of a radiologist.

  • Clinical Excellence/Patient Care
    • Performs MRI procedures accurately and ensures complete examinations according to medical imaging guidelines
    • Evaluates finished images for quality and accuracy
    • Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures
  • Employee Development/Performance Improvement
    • Maintains working knowledge of MRI equipment and performs troubleshooting
    • Checks equipment for safety and reports problems
    • Knows terminology and operation of MRI equipment
  • Departmental Support
    • Coordinates patient flow and maintains a safe environment in the MRI/Medical Imaging Department
    • Assists in training fellow technologists and students
