Description

The Manager of Informatics is integral to the advancement of Emory Healthcare's Radiology department and will play a critical role in optimizing processes and technologies for improved patient care and operational efficiency. 

The Manager will lead a team of specialists, ensuring effective utilization of technology and collaboration with key stakeholder groups, including patients, providers, and external entities. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including Emory Digital, application teams, and department heads, is essential for optimizing workflows and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring their professional growth, performance, and engagement. Standard Work: Develop and oversee standard work, ensuring that key performance indicator goals are met for team and system performance. Resource Management: Ensure adequate coverage and resource allocation to meet organizational needs. Project Coordination: Work with application teams to prioritize and coordinate project requisitions as they relate to workflow and system integrations. Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with vendors and consultants to evaluate and optimize software products and technologies, including PACS, RIS, Epic, and Powershare, ensuring alignment with business needs and best practices. Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in imaging exchange and informatics, applying relevant knowledge to drive innovation and operational excellence. Technical Proficiency: Maintain a strong understanding of imaging systems, including PACS, RIS, Epic, and Powershare.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, public health, information technology, or a related field required.
  • Masters degree in healthcare administration or public health is preferred, or seven years of relevant experience in healthcare administration.
