Ultrasound Techs are responsible for the following:
Explains radiographic procedure to the patient, obtains complete and accurate history relevant to the examination to be performed.
Independently performs clinical diagnostic examinations including any necessary room preparation.
Provides basic patient care as needed by any patient.
Produces permanent records of diagnostic examinations.
Under the supervision of a Radiologist, Ultrasound Techs will operate ultrasound imaging equipment in order to produce images of the body for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a formal training program.
Six (6) months to one (1) year of post registry preferred
RDMS (ARDMS) certification
