Description

Under the direction of the Association Business Office Manager and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, this position is responsible for the in-person training delivery for the Personify software application at the Association Office. The Personify Trainer will deliver assigned curriculums for a variety of Personify classes to a broad range of staff at various levels of YMCA experience and skill using technology. Classes will vary from Basic to Advanced use of Personify as assigned.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Teach established curriculum for Personify classes that are in compliance with the Association Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain supervision, safety, and well being of Personify class participants during class sessions.
  • Conduct student assessment and identify any follow up needed for additional practice or classes needed.
  • Ensure proper set up and break down of training room on a daily basis and maintains a neat and clean appearance of room including equipment and supplies.
  • Present a quality, professional image through proper business casual attire and interaction with other YMCA employees.

EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum one year of focused experience working with Personify within a YMCA Membership Sales and Service Department or Business Office function; or 2 years of classroom, technology training, or corporate training experience.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills; working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn enterprise specific applications.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills and ability to cater communication to students' needs.
  • Leadership skills and ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Ability to represent the YMCA in a mature and professional manner.
  • Completion of Personify Basics, Ordering 1, and Ordering 2.
  • Successful completion of "Train the Trainer" based learning for each Personify class hired to teach.
  • Completion of Facilitation Skills course through SLA within first 90 day of hire.
  • Ability to complete CPR/First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and other required training prior to first day of work and maintain appropriate certifications as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work irregular hours throughout the month in order to offer a variety of training classes to the YMCA staff.
  • Ability to walk, stands, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift (up to 50lbs) and carry supplies weighing up to 20lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
  • Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.
  • Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.

CONDITIONS OF HIRE:

Candidate will need to be available to teach a variety of shifts throughout the month including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and evenings.

Successful completion of "Train the Trainer" based learning for each Personify Class hired to teach

Completion of Facilitation Skills course through SLA within first 90 days of hire
