Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant, working under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, will provide treatment for assigned patients and accomplishes other related activities within the Physical Therapy/Functional Restoration Program offices. We pride ourselves on helping patients learn transferable skills to better manage pain and disability. The physical therapy population is primarily adult orthopedic and chronic pain patients.

What you will do

  • Implement individual patient care plans in a creative and engaging manner.
  • Combine patient education, hands on care and exercise instruction in comprehensive 60 minute visits.
  • Patient load is approximately 7 individuals per day.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Physical Therapist Assistant School accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or accreditation pending.
  • Valid California Certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Working knowledge of myofascial release techniques and skills is a plus.
  • Ability to use sound judgment in applying academic knowledge and clinical experience in providing patient treatment and care.
  • Experience with EMR documentation preferred but will train.
  • Able to uphold decisions of supervising therapists.
  • Able to assume responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with patients, families, professionals, and co-workers.
  • Able to work with patients and equipment using sound judgment.
  • An attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care.
