What will the Network Administrator do?
- Configure and manage network infrastructure: Oversee the configuration and management of network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Administer Active Directory and Group Policy: Ensure efficient user management and network security through Active Directory and Group Policy administration
- Provide end-user support: Troubleshoot connectivity issues, handle account setup, and assist with email configuration to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor network performance and security: Identify and address vulnerabilities or irregularities in network performance and security
- Collaborate on network solutions: Work with the IT team to implement network solutions and optimize performance
- Perform network maintenance: Conduct software updates, hardware upgrades, and system backups to maintain network integrity
- Assist with security systems: Support security camera systems and manage IP addresses as needed
- Conduct hands-on fieldwork: Address network issues across different locations through hands-on fieldwork as required
What the company needs in a Network Administrator:
- Proven experience in Network Administration: Demonstrated experience in Network Administration or similar roles, preferably in a corporate environment
- Networking technology proficiency: In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Equipment proficiency: Proficiency with Cisco and Aruba networking equipment, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers
- Active Directory and Windows Server experience: Experience with Active Directory management and Windows Server administration
- Troubleshooting skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve network issues promptly
- Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Certifications: Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA) preferred but not required
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
