Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: Description: Supports departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe, orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, performing clerical and other support services as directed, and providing assistance in select and limited clinical activities. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital. Responsibilities: Shift Report: Gives and receives report on assigned shift to oncoming HUC (as applicable) or Charge Nurse, Remains at nurse’s station during change of shift to answer telephones and call lights Greets and offers assistance promptly to all persons entering the unit. Operates all communication systems and relays messages appropriately Maintains nurse's station whiteboard with staff assignments, a/d/t, and other unit-specific information. Follows up to assure accuracy of scheduling and communication to patient’s nurse. Patient Access List (primary view; configured per Job Aide) Ensures timely and appropriate communication and data entry of patient transfers and discharges within 15 minutes of patient departure Other duties as assigned What you will need: Minimum Licensure/Certification Required (if applicable): Certificate of completion of medical secretary training in a vocational or hospital-based program preferred.
