Justification

This position is needed to administer and instruct for onboarding, to perform clerical duties needed plant wide with C2C, and to assist as time permits with safety related duties particularly with the administration of policies

and procedural type documents. This person would free up others in the EHS&T Department to perform more leadership focused duties and departmental assessments associated with health and safety.

Job Description Summary:

  • This position is responsible for performing a variety of highly confidential environmental, health, safety and training duties for the EHS&T Department. In addition to scheduling and providing overall customer service, this position performs duties such as coordinating/facilitating meetings and training events, purchasing, and serving Revise Create Job Requisition

Essential Functions:

  • Provide high-level and confidential administrative support for EHS&T in training, safety, and other areas as assigned.
  • Perform all related duties associated with Departmental Learning Administrator (DLA) for the Compliance to Capability (C2C) Learning Management System (LMS). Provide metrics to track
  • performance.
  • Support associate training and development activities which will include data entry into Excel, C2C, SharePoint.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate onsite and offsite EHS&T or onboarding related training.
  • Conduct onboarding orientation for new hires to meet site needs and as directed by EHS. Integrate other department’s training with the onboarding process and work closely with HR.
  • Also adapt or provided improvements to training to reflect site needs and safety issues.
  • Coordinate all ‘Ancillary Training’ for the site whether through classroom, online, or Computer Based Training (CBT) venues. Become well versed with Microsoft TEAMS.
  • Compile and distribute appropriate training materials.
  • Administer the Enterprise Zone Act (EZA).
  • Track engagement points for Engineering and assist/train others as needed.
  • Participate in BD Production System (BDPS) Committees and Subcommittees and directed.
  • Support the EHS Supervisor with administrative duties and provide team leadership when requested.
  • Schedule EHS/BDPS meetings and ensure rooms are set up properly and attendees are present.
  • Generate and issue monthly safety quiz and EHS newsletter. Assist with the BDPS newsletter.
  • Provide regular EHS presence on BD's YAMMER network platform.
  • Help with safety awareness and wellness campaigns and initiatives. Work with the plant nurse to achieve positive results.
  • Help prepare monthly EHS metrics and backup the EHS Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist with administration of EHS monthly and quarterly audits. Participate as needed and as level of expertise increases.
