Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for the position of Director of Med Surg to join a dynamic healthcare team in Fredricksburg, Virginia. The Director will oversee the operational and clinical management of the Medical Surgical department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient departmental operations.   • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance, and patient safety.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Med Surg department and other hospital departments, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Mentor and develop staff, promoting professional growth and fostering a positive work environment.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to Med Surg operations

Candidate requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Active RN licensure in the state of Virginia. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Director-level role within an acute care setting, with specific experience in Medical Surgical units preferred. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving departmental goals. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior management. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
