Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonography Specialist to join their team This exciting position involves performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures, adhering to relevant standards of practice, and providing exceptional care to patients at their Ashby Campus in Berkeley, California.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, bubble studies, and ultrasound-enhancing agent echocardiograms.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and policies to deliver the highest level of patient care.
  • Perform routine cardiac sonography examinations and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Communicate test results clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Use strong organizational skills to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • RCS (CCI) registered or ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric) certification.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
