As the Facility Coordinator , you'll help create a safe, comfortable, and clean work environment for yourself and other ARRT staff. You'll be a key part of the small Facility Operations team that provides day to day building and grounds operations including custodial tasks, supply ordering, mailroom responsibilities, and a variety of other duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Custodial
  • Daily cleaning and light building and grounds maintenance.
  • Routine custodial tasks including trash and recycling removal.
General Office Support
  • Sort and deliver mail.
  • Stock supplies and empty desktop shredders.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving.
  • Assist facility manager in writing articles for ARRTiculation (internal newsletter).
  • Provide training on ARRT office equipment as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other staff members in a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Work with staff in charge of committee meetings and special events, direct the setup of committee and meeting rooms, and event areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Purchasing
  • Complete requisition forms and relevant purchase orders for signature.
  • Order goods/services from the appropriate vendor as approved.
  • Coordinate with accounting to physically receive incoming orders through the accounting system platform.
  • Select and order office furnishings as requested by creating detailed proposals with cost and photos to be presented to manager or executive team for approval.
Security
  • Assure building has been secured at night before leaving.
  • Set building alarm before exiting building.
  • Stay alert to and monitor storm warnings using weather radio and other appropriate means.
  • Alert Executive Team Member on site of weather concerns.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness research and preparations.
Vendor Coordination
  • Schedule repairs for all appliances and machines, as well as any needed repairs to the building.
  • Schedule regular maintenance for carpet and window cleaning, parking lot sweeping, RPZ valve checks, machine maintenance and other required services.
  • Contact pest control for insect and rodent control.
  • Coordinate with alarm company to schedule drills, maintenance, etc.
  • Coordinate with landscaper to select flowers, plants, etc. for building exterior; schedule execution as required.
  • Escort and assist vendors while in the ARRT facility as needed.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

2-3 years of professional or institutional cleaning or maintenance experience

Skills and Abilities: adaptable, attention to detail, computer skills- basic, ability to use various hand and power tools, documentation, maintenance skills, multi-tasking, planning and organizing, problem solving/analytical thinking, reliable, safety awareness, speak/read/write English, comfortable with shifting demands, training, and understanding and following procedures.
