We are Lockheed Martin This position is for the Electrical Systems associate manager, reporting to the Electrical Systems-FW Manager within Vehicle Sciences & Systems. The selected candidate will manage a team of 12 – 15 engineers that execute engineering tasks for Electrical Power and Cockpit Equipment & Lighting subsystems in support of the IFG or ADP Line of Business (LOB). Responsibilities include: - Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical execution of existing development efforts within Electrical Systems. - Provide team leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operation of the Electrical Systems engineering team, including coordination of required production and sustainment support. - Support design reviews, engineering releases, and other formal and informal review efforts. - Support pursuits of new business for the team and guide the planning and execution of that work, including the development of proposals with task descriptions, estimates of effort, and basis for those estimates. - Provide project status briefings to program and functional leadership - Help create and outline standard work practices, process, and structured knowledge continuity to grow a skilled workforce specializing in aircraft Electrical Systems support. - Drive modernization efforts in Systems Engineering, helping to develop and execute the implementation of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products and processes as well as Electrical System modelling. - Support personnel related activities for a team of engineers, including performance management, manpower planning and staffing, and personnel recognition. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with customers, management, and peers. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field. Combined experience/education considered - Working knowledge of aircraft system design and hardware qualification. - Experience with systems engineering lifecycle & understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors. Desired Skills: - Familiarity with aircraft Electrical Systems. - Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across organizational levels and teams. - Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matters and solutions with senior leadership. - Experience with safety-of-flight qualification, airworthiness, flight certification and/or system safety. - Experience with Project Management. - Experience with technical oversight of suppliers. - Problem investigation resolution and root cause analysis experience. - Experience with project planning and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). - Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM). - Familiarity with IFG Platforms and Processes Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
