Since 1868, our organization has been powered by purpose to deliver care through the efforts of our incredible teams and programs. The SF SPCA's Community Medicine Program provides preventative health services for client-owned animals at our Community Veterinary Clinic, High-Quality High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic, and Mobile Vaccine Clinic. Our Community Medicine department is currently seeking RVT's or highly experienced veterinary assistants to join our Spay/Neuter team

The anesthesia and pain management protocols in our HQHV Spay/Neuter clinic are exemplary and we have state of the art equipment, but we believe the most important component of our patients' care is our team. Be empowered to utilize your skills and bring the best of your experiences to the table

Full time and part time positions are available Tuesday - Saturday (2 shift minimum). Experienced RVT's and very experienced Veterinary Assistants are welcome to apply. Anesthesia experience required.

The Role:
  • Intake/discharge of patients
  • Anesthesia induction & monitoring
  • Surgical prep
  • Recovery
  • Collaborative team participation
  • Facilitate and participate in open, direct communication throughout the Society
  • Embrace and promote the Society's direct communication policy

  • Current California RVT License with 1+ years recent clinical experience OR 4+ years recent clinical experience for Veterinary Assistants
