Join Sutter Health as a Radiology Technologist Level II at MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Belmont, California. This position involves performing DXA Bone Density and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. In addition to conducting diagnostic radiographic examinations, this role includes mentoring and fostering a constructive environment for students and new technologists.

Clerical responsibilities:

  • General clerical tasks such as answering phones and updating patient appointments
  • Preparing and completing accurate documentation related to patient procedures and exam charges
  • Inventories and orders supplies to maintain stock levels

Safety:

  • Implementing protection devices and safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Inspecting and calibrating equipment for proper operation

Compliance:

  • Maintaining patient privacy and PHI
  • Performing quality radiographic examinations in compliance with regulations
  • Retaining certification and completing continuing education requirements

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

Certification & Licensure:

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS)
  • Radiology Fluoroscopy (RHF) within 180 days of hire if required

Skills and Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, and equipment
  • Capability of performing routine radiographic examinations and basic understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
