Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Acute Care Unit (ACU)

Job Duration: 16 weeks

Shift: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700; every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in MedSurg

License: A valid nursing license from any state

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within six months of hire

Must-Have: COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, and the worker must be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to the start date. Declination is considered for medical reasons only, with appropriate documentation and is subject to confirmation review.

Job Description:
- Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.
- Work independently in completing assignments, adhering to physicians' orders, standards of care, and nursing policies.
- Provide nursing duties in support of individuals of all ages and their families on a 30-bed adult med/surg unit.
- Serve as a clinical nurse performing professional nursing duties for the care of inpatients, including comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services.
- Participate as a member of the healthcare team, ensuring patient care and support.
- Complete any required orientation sessions.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Engage in a diverse working environment that serves a culturally rich community.

Additional Information:
- Orientation is held every two weeks.
- Holiday coverage is required.
- A housing application must be submitted two weeks before the start date.
- Medical exemptions for COVID-19 vaccination will require approval from a medical review board.
