Role Overview:

Help us launch a new hospice office in the Myrtle Beach area We are looking for our first hospice nursing leader to assist us in establishing a new location, applying for state licensure, preparing for state survey, preparing for Medicare survey, and finally achieving Medicare certification. This role is going to offer a ton of flexibility and the satisfaction in helping us build the bedrock that we will build a business off of. We have opened up multiple offices front he ground up, and have a robust clinical team to support you to help us build the business

What Does Nursing Leader Do Every Day?

  • Preparing for a variety of surveys both locally and nationally.
  • Assist in doing assessment and admissions of hospice patients.
  • Assist in hiring clinical and operational staff as our business continues to scale.
  • Direct and coordinate clinical departments and sites; assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations. (Conditions of Participation).
  • Promote the philosophy and administrative policies of the Agency in an effort to ensure quality of patient care.
  • Supervise and provide direction to subordinates, in an effort to ensure quality, compliance with the Plan of Care, assessment and reassessment of patients' needs and continuity of services by appropriate health care personnel.
Background You Need to Be Successful:
  • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing Licensure:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a hospice nursing leader required.
  • Current license as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of South Carolina.
  • Experience in launching a denovo hospice office heavily preferred.
  • Must have a current Drivers License and liability insurance in the state you would be working in.
  • You must have at least one year (two years for ACHC Accreditation) of hospice or home care experience as a registered nurse obtained within the last 36 months, with experience in the hospice space heavily preferred, with management experience heavily preferred.
  • Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrate proven decision making skills. If required to make visits, needs proof of current CPR. Must read, write and comprehend English.
