Peds Psychiatry Section Chief opportunity - Grand Rapids, Michigan Details: - Full-time, permanent position- Excellent opportunity for a BC/BE Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead in the role of Section Chief. Reporting to the system division chief of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health, the section chief leads psychiatrists and APPs in their inpatient and outpatient roles. As section chief, you would maintain a clinical practice and have dedicated time to lead your team, partner with the operational manager, and collaborate with section chef of pediatric psychology. - The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience and has practiced within a children's hospital system. - The growing multidisciplinary team includes child psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, and behavioral medicine physicians among others. The large patient population is served through consult-liaison services, outpatient consult bridge clinic, outpatient practice, and our autism center of excellence. A 12-bed med psych unit is slated to open soon. - 90-minute evaluations and 30-minute outpatient follow ups with comprehensive psychology, psychotherapy and nursing support for your practice. - H1b visa sponsorship available- As the prime pediatric clinical academic partner of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, the hospital offers teaching opportunities and academic appointments for qualified candidates. Qualifications: - Required Doctorate MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathy)- 1 year of relevant experience Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through 1+ year of related experience Required- 1 year of relevant experience to three years experience in clinical practice, preferably in a medical group setting Required- Experience in leading project teams and a commitment to develop as a physician leader Required- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required -Or- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required -Or- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association If required by specialty or stress test performed 120 Days required About the Hospital: - Ranked in 8 specialties (2020-21) by the US News & World Report Best Childrens Hospitals- State-of-the-art, globally integrated, 236-bed free standing dedicated childrens hospital located on the main campus. - Annually, there are approximately 8760 inpatient and 124,600 ambulatory visits, as well as over 55,185 children seen in the Pediatric Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma rated). - Has one of the nations largest Level 4 NICUs with 108-beds.
