Job Description

Stamford Hospital is seeking a Full Time Central Sterile Processing Technician to join the Perioperative team. This is a great opportunity to work with state of the art machinery and new age instrumentation.

The Central Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and high-level disinfection of all reusable medical instrumentation. This individual will maintain adequate supply levels in the sterile storage area, rotate stock and pull case carts for daily surgical schedule.

Significant portions of daily assignments involve prolonged standing, transporting material & equipment, or lifting, moving, or carrying moderately heavy (over 20 pounds) for intermittent periods throughout the day.

Qualifications

1) High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

2) Certification in CRCST or IAHCSMM required

3) Minimum of 1 year of central processing experience in a hospital or 2-3 years experience in a specialty surgery center
