Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a qualified controls engineer.

This engineer is also going to be dealing with large and fast-paced automation machinery so someone with this background is be ideal. This engineer will have their hands tied up in several different responsibilities but will be spending most of their time developing PLC logic, Advanced Motion, and HMI Programs from scratch. As mentioned, every project will be for new equipment prototypes, and they will be balancing a few projects at a time. Some Controls Engineer positions include an aspect of electrical design and other roles are strictly programming.  This Controls Engineer will also be responsible for the design of electrical schematics using AutoCAD electrical. Lastly, this Engineer will be supporting/ interacting with the assembly group with the assembly of the control panels.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering – preferred.
  • Other engineering degrees will work if the experience is correct.
  • 3+ years of Controls/ Automation Engineering – Ideally with motion control
  • Programming PLCs and HMIs from scratch
  • Industry experience with a machine builder 
  • Design Electrical Schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Allen Bradley experience
