Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hospitalist. We are looking for a fully licensed MD to work as a hospitalist.
The Hospitalist will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. The Hospitalist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care and coordination.
Schedule
1-week on service alternating with 1-week off service (time-off)
Work Load
Typical work days start at approximately 8 AM and usually end by 5 PM or sooner if you are efficient
Typical patient census averages between 18 to 22 patients
Patient population
Hepatology service line (patients with advanced liver disease, transplant or needing transplant or GI intervention)
Hematology/Oncology (patients with malignant hematology disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma, and other neoplastic disease)
Qualifications
Medical degree and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Experience in hospital medicine and managing acute medical conditions is preferable
Experience with transplant patients is valuable
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary team
Ability to adapt to changing healthcare environments and prioritize tasks
Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
Experience with electronic medical records systems (experience using EPIC EMR is valuable)
