We are seeking a Director of Infection Control to join our team in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Job Details:
The Director shall be responsible for planning, administering and monitoring systems and procedures related to the detection and control of infectious micro-organisms and the direction of educational, training, and orientation programs for personnel related to Infection Control. Under the direction of the Chief Quality Officer (CQO) the Infection Control Practitioner manages the Infection Control Program for the hospital, performing surveillance investigations, developing policies and procedures, preparing reports and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and regulatory agencies.
Education: Graduate of a state approved accredited school of nursing; prefer BSN or other related healthcare degree. Completion of a basic training program for infection control or national certification preferred.
Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a health care institution and minimum of one year in Infection Control practice or certification by the Certification Board for Infection Control.
Licenses/Certificates: Must possess and maintain New Mexico RN license and BLS certification. Certification in Infection control is preferred.
