Division/Department: OrthoNY/ MRI Location: Clifton Park Job Title: MRI Technologist Reports to: Clinical Supervisor Type of position: Full Time - Monday-Friday with evenings and occasional weekends FLSA Status Non-Exempt GENERAL DESCRIPTION OrthoNY has an open position for a MRI Technologist. This position will perform orthopedic magnetic resonance procedures, computer processing and related techniques, produce images for interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed practitioner. RESPONSIBILITIES Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for the licensed practitioners' use Prepare patient for procedure providing instruction and education Select and operate magnetic resonance system and related equipment Maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics Recognize essential conditions for successful completion of procedure Provide appropriate patient care Other responsibilities as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology Graduate from a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program in medical imaging or equivalent Valid NYS licensure Additional education in sectional human anatomy a plus Experience in medical imaging Excellent communication and customer service skills Able to work irregular hours OTHER INFORMATION This is an “in office” position in a safe work environment Reliable transportation is required
