- Supporting custom portals for Strayer University and SEI.
- This team is collaborative and close knit. They need someone with content management framework, preferably Drupal. If they have user management experience is also ideal.
- Technical BA/BSA role, requirements gathering and transferring to documentation for design for developers. They will also be customer facing too. They don't define the UI on this team, but they need to translate it into the terminology for the developers.
- Virtual campus for students and learners to access info on the virtual campuses. Need someone to understand the integration for this. Lots of integration with pulling data from other sources. Need to understand the customer experience.

Team makeup:
1 BA (this BA they're hiring), 2 developers on site and 1 PM.

Deliverables:
- Gather requirements - translate those to specification documentation for developers
- Define acceptance criteria for the QA team, project managers and business team.
- Production support - as tickets come in they will help out with this 25% of the time, doing initial analysis and then handing to dev to do root cause fix
o 24/7 support - need to be available, this BA is second line of defense after infrastructure. Not common it happens at odd hours. Not expecting a ton of off hours work.
- Might have to do data mapping

Tools/Tech:
- Moving to Jira from VersionOne - would be helpful for them to have Jira.
- Drupal - Nice to have

Requirements:
- Mid - Sr level BSA experience
- Content Management experience - Drupal is nice to have
- Data mapping - at least have a functional understanding from working on this with others if they haven't done it themselves yet

Sr. Business Analyst - Campus Products

The Sr. Business Analyst will function as an interface between business owners and IT project team members regarding requirements and functionality for both new development and existing production systems. This position includes project and stakeholder management responsibilities for some work efforts.

Essential Duties
  • Work with business owners to gather requirements for the development of applications and other technical components of company projects.
  • Support engineering and architecture efforts for many high-visibility programs
  • Develop execution plans for future implementation and develop recommendations for improving their organizational structure and processes
  • Participate in all architecture and design decisions, and conduct documentation review and approval processes
  • Identify, analyze, and assist in risk mitigation and management of change processes
  • Assist in business system analysis, designing products and features, and supporting all aspects of required technical documentation.
  • Contribute to project teams including assistance with overall analysis, project forecasting, logical testing, identifying and managing project risks, quality assurance, launch support, and post launch support as needed.
  • Ongoing documentation and investigation of production support issues.
  • Represent IT by providing information on infrastructure, capabilities, limitations, and systems to other departments within SEI.
  • Provide and promote internal communication between IT, and other functional groups within SEI.
  • Participate in business process enhancement meetings.
  • Provide Project Management on small to medium sized projects as needed. This includes preparing project plans, managing issue and risk logs and mitigation strategies, preparing budgets, facilitating status meetings and managing project resources.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required. The ability to express oneself effectively within groups and in one-to-one conversations. Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents. Creates an atmosphere in which timely and high-quality input/out flows smoothly between self and others.
  • Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and use available tools to effectively contribute to an organization.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills - able to focus both on the big picture and finite details. Should be proficient in data filtering, and presentation. Experience gathering and documenting system requirements.
  • Must be proficient in documenting requirements, writing use cases, and creating functional design specifications.

Work Experience
  • 7+ years in business system analysis, designing products and features and supporting all aspects of required technical documentation including integrations with other platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and proposing target state architecture
  • Working experience with Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Technology Roadmaps, and Future Stat Design and Roadmap.
  • Content Management Framework experience - Drupal preferred.
  • Excellent writing skills and a strong ability to grasp technical concepts
  • Experience developing technical documentation to support solution architecture and designs, documenting all architecture and design decisions
  • Preference to those with related educational models/industry.
  • Experience working with offshore teams desired
  • Familiarity with storyboarding tools like Version1 or Jira.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
