Position Summary

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Consulting on state and local tax services with existing clients
  • Research state tax issues including nexus determinations, taxability analyses and quantification of potential liabilities
  • Manage a group of staff and seniors on compliance to ensure developmental skills and firm templates
  • Consulting on state and local issues for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and LLCs
  • Managing tax notices responses and assist with tax field exams
  • Maintain active communications with clients on state and local tax
Requirements
  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law
  • Minimum of 4-5 year of sales/use tax experience
  • Experience in reviewing multiple state tax income or franchise returns
  • Experience in consulting on state and local taxes
  • Other requirements of an experienced tax manager
  • Proficiency with computerized tax software & Microsoft Office.
  • Strong client rapport & project management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
