Coatesville Comprehensive Treatment Center, located in Coatesville, PA, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our mission is to provide full-circle care that includes a blend of therapies and the use of safe and effective medications. Our team is the front line of our fight against the opiate epidemic.

Your Job as a Certified Recovery Specialist:

The Certified Recovery Specialist assists the care management team in providing a seamless continuum of care. They will maintain regular and constant communication with insurance companies, the finance department, treatment team members, patients and their families to increase quality and cost-effective outcomes. The Care Manager will assist patients in accessing medical, clinical, vocational and rehabilitative services as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and database(s).
  • Provide recovery education to service recipients for every phase of the recovery journey from
    pre-recovery engagement, recovery initiation, recovery stabilization, and sustained recovery
    maintenance.
  • Provide a model for both people in recovery and staff by demonstrating that recovery is
    possible.
  • Assist recovering persons to identify their personal interests, goals, strengths and weaknesses
    regarding recovery.
  • Assist/coach recovering persons develop their own plan for advancing their recovery; for
    "getting the life they want."
  • Recovery Planning - facilitate (via personal coaching) the transition from a professionally
    directed service plan to a self-directed Recovery Plan. The goal should be to transition from
    professionally assisted recovery initiation to personally directed, community supported
    recovery maintenance.
  • Promote self advocacy by assisting recovering persons to have their voices fully heard; their
    needs, goals and objectives established as the focal point of rehabilitation and clinical services.
Qualifications

Your Education, Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required;
  • Associate's degree in social work, counseling, or related human services field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working in behavioral health or addiction recovery setting preferred.
  • Previous experience in case management and/or utilization review
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Certified Recovery Support Specialist - CRSS, OR
  • Peer Support Specialist - PSS, OR
  • Peer Recovery Specialist - PRS, OR
  • Certified Recovery Coach - CRC
