Description: Responsibilities Basic Purpose Responsible for processing, checkout, verification of control area interchange. Respond to short-term requests for transmission service, and accounting of control area inadvertent energy. Oversees the scheduled and actual interchange in the aspects of pre-schedule, real-time, and after-the-fact. Provides support for Energy Imbalance Market operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs transmission interchange pre-scheduling, real-time, and "after-the-fact" functions including review of e-tags, hourly checkout, daily checkout, problem-solving and reconciliation of scheduled/actual interchange. OASIS Administration, including responding to short-term requests for transmission service and create/update outage postings. Responsible for overall business improvement through keeping abreast of scheduling issues, WECC, NERC, and FERC rules, standards, and best utility practices. Maintains situational awareness and effective communications with NV Energy's Balancing Authority Operator and Transmission System Operator regarding system performance. Provides support to the Energy Imbalance Market operations by:
  • Analyzing information and providing hour-ahead and day-ahead support for EIM participation.
  • Providing interchange and intra-change schedules to the EIM.
  • Monitoring transmission and resource contingencies in real-time, and updating transmission interchange and EIM participation, as per established criteria.
Maintains communications with the management team in regard to operational performance of NV Energy electric system. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned. Requirements Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, or a related field from an accredited school. Candidates that do not possess a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience in electric utility scheduling, marketing, or in applicable OATI platforms. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • Transmission system
  • NERC/WECC Reliability Standards
  • OASIS, OATI, and SCADA tools.
Demonstrated skills such as:
  • Analytical, interpersonal and communication.
Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. Twelve (12) hour shift schedules that will require working days or nights and rotating combinations including weekends and holidays. Additional Requirements Compensation

$31.88 (Min) to $37.50 (Mid) per hour; Up to 10% Short Term Incentive Plan opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
