POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Sales Representative is responsible for selling replacement, upgrade, retrofit and bid projects to Air Force One clients. The Representative will be expected to follow up on all opportunities found or presented, meet with the customer to determine customer expectations, survey the facility, develop solutions, estimate the costs associated with providing the solution, propose the solution to the customer, close the business and turnover installation of the project to operations all within Air Force One pricing and production standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have excellent communication skills; can persuade and close sales.
  • Bachelor's Degree in sales and marketing, mechanical engineering, or related with 5 years of experience or a combination of both.
  • HVAC knowledge is required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Clean background check
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To present the company to potential customers in a manner that leaves a favorable impression thereby obtaining sales for the company that are competitive and profitable.
  • Timely communications are paramount: respond promptly to calls and email, text, and voice messages from staff, prospects, and customers.
  • Travel to prospects' home or business and keep appointments as scheduled.
  • Listen to their requests and seek understanding with questions and examination of their building and HVAC equipment.
  • Give sales presentation, as outlined in company selling process, use company furnished materials. Offer options on systems and accessories.
  • Inform customers of all special promotions, utility rebates, and the benefits of high efficiency equipment, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Offer financing on every proposal.
  • Present a proposal at the time of the first call if possible or return to present the proposal in person if necessary; email is acceptable with prior consent.
  • Ask customers for referrals at every interaction throughout the process.
  • Scan all paperwork in the sales call folder into the eFolder or turn-in to the Sales Coordinator within one business day after the presentation. This includes a picture of the job and all necessary notes and drawings to adequately communicate the job to the operations department.
  • Enter orders in Job Book and work with Project Manager to schedule the installation appointment within 24 hours of the customer signing the contract. Prepare proposals on Procom or Build-a-Quote, and then enter the job in Great Plains.
  • Be available to review the job with the Field Supervisor, and to answer questions that may arise from installers or customers.
  • As is practical, visit jobsites during installation, or soon after completion. Check workmanship, ensure customer satisfaction, and request referrals.
  • Assist the Sales Support staff with marketing and promotions.
  • Participate in community and trade organizations to promote the company.
  • Pursue opportunities, and secure management approval to attend training seminars and courses for technical knowledge and sales skills development.
  • Complete all paperwork for spiffs from manufacturers.
  • Complete all AEP and Columbia Gas rebate paperwork.
  • Assist with collections.
  • Adheres to all company policies.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
