We are seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our two Asthma and Allergy Specialty offices in Westbury and Commack.

The Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse works closely with the clinicians and other staff members to care for all patients and perform a variety of patient care tasks. They provide patients and their families with emotional support and medical care.

Schedule: Three days per week Monday - Friday

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient health status through comprehensive health history and physical examination
  • Administers medications, injections and treatment to patients
  • Helps patients to be comfortable and cooperative with examinations/procedures
  • Coordinates plans for patient care and follow ups with pharmacies
  • Performs diagnostic tests and analyzes results
  • Works with all levels of staff members, providing guidance to Medical Assistants
  • Scheduling appointments as necessary
  • Provides education, information and support to the patient and family
  • Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format
  • Maintains patient confidentiality as per HIPAA
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • NYS Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record Systems preferred, AthenaOne highly preferred
  • Pediatric and adult experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, multi-tasking, customer service, time management, and organization skills
  • High level of professionalism when performing all duties

Compensation Offered (negotiable, dependent upon experience):
Hourly - Hourly Plan, 30.00 USD Hourly
