Under general direction of the Chief Engineer II , the Chief Engineer I in the Facilities Management Division (FMD) California Tower leads and provides a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair of heating, engineering operations, special projects, repairs of the heating and electrical plant, other mechanical and power equipment within the State Building and occupied buildings in accordance with FMD guidelines and manuals.
May be required to obtain an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Technician Certificate or backflow certification upon appointment.
Conflict of Interest
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
