Changing lives and creating opportunities This company has been hard at work changing the lives of the people we serve, helping them to create positive opportunities with long-range impact Description: •Provides crisis intervention services in response to emotional and/or physical distress. •Provides diagnostic evaluations to customers and referrals to Licensed Clinician for treatment •Ensures adherence to infection control practices. •Makes referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention. •Collects urine specimens for drug screening. •Provides counseling services to mentally ill, alcohol dependent and/or homeless AIDS/HIV positive customers. •Assesses customers in order to formulate treatment needs. •Orients new patients to treatment program(s). •Participates in treatment planning and individual and/or group counseling. Skills & Qualifications: Masters degree in social work or related field with a license (LMSW, LADC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW or LPCA) Three years of experience related to working with homelessness, mental health or substance abuse Proficient in databases, MS Office, written reports and maintenance of case notes. Strong organization, motivational, time management and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to facilitate groups and a strong experience in counseling. Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic experiences with the ability to interact and communicate effectively. Knowledge of Human Services, Court systems, substance use and target population(s) a must.
