Job Description: Photo Retouch (Post Person)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Photo Retoucher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing raw images, performing color correction, and ensuring consistency across various shooting setups and cameras. This role requires a middle-tier, higher-level skilled individual who can maintain the high standards of our commercial photography studio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Raw Image Processing: Convert and process raw images from Capture One or other photo editing software.
  • Color Correction: Adjust colors to achieve accurate and consistent results across different shooting setups and camera profiles.
  • Retouching: Perform detailed retouching work to enhance image quality, remove imperfections, and prepare images for final use.
  • Consistency Maintenance: Ensure that all images meet the studio’s quality standards and maintain consistency in lighting, color balance, and overall appearance.
  • File Management: Organize and manage image files, ensuring proper naming conventions and storage for easy retrieval and use.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with photographers, stylists, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality images.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on images to ensure they meet the required specifications before final delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in photo retouching, preferably in a commercial photography studio.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Color Theory Knowledge: Deep understanding of color theory and the ability to apply it effectively in image editing.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and understand project requirements.
  • Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • 3D Skills: Any skill or experience in 3D modeling or rendering is considered a plus.
Preferred Skills:

Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in advanced retouching techniques, including frequency separation and dodge & burn.
  • Experience with high-end color grading and color correction.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive editing workflows.
  • Knowledge of image compositing and manipulation.
  • Understanding of digital asset management systems and best practices for file organization.
  • Experience with batch processing and automation tools in photo editing software
