Requirements

Required Qualifications:

2. Must be able to obtain a gaming license through the Graton Gaming Commission if selected for the position.
3. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handlers Certificate.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Must be at least 18 years of age.
6. Working knowledge of soaps, chemicals, and sanitation techniques.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push 150-250 pounds on a pushcart, and enter walk-ins of 10 degrees to 140 degrees with or without assistance.
2. Ability to stand for duration of shift, bend and reach to a height of six feet with or without assistance.
3. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.

Job Description

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for the deep heavy-duty cleaning of large equipment, such as convection ovens, stoves, grills, flat tops, salamanders, broilers, pizza ovens, pasta cookers, fryers, floormats, etc.

Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Completely disassemble oven parts, stove tops, burn out stove tops' burners per SOPs, clean the interior of the ovens, remove and replace the aluminum foil, and reassemble all of the appliances or heavy equipment.
3. Remove, clean, and replace all floormats.
4. When applicable, clean, sanitize and polish all stainless-steel tables, countertops, shelves, stainless-steel walls, and stainless-steel appliances.
5. Clean the interior of the convection ovens, dome brick pizza oven, and electric pizza oven.
6. Scrub, degrease, and clean all heavy equipment, such as open burner stoves, convection ovens, salamanders, flat tops, broilers, pizza ovens, pasta cookers, fryers, etc. as per SOPs.
7. Clean floors, walls, hoods, and perform additional cleaning duties as assigned (will provide ladder if needed).
8. Ensure that all caution and safety markers are displayed properly.
9. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
