In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation, Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization. Responsibilities Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care Ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism Requirements/Qualifications Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as a RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as a RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) Discovering opportunities, support and excellence – all while making a real difference in patients’ lives – begins at Mount Carmel.
