The Cardiac Cath Lab RN demonstrates highly advanced skills in patient assessment/ intervention, teamwork, and crisis management. There are Eight Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms. Four Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms, nine Cardiologist, seven are interventionalist. We orient new nurses to our unit by providing an 8-12 week orientation with a dedicated preceptor team complemented by a program of critical care courses and a nurse residency program for new graduates. RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment & analyzing assessment data
  • Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care
  • Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions
  • Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.

  • Diploma or Associate's Degree (ADN) - Required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred
  • Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) - Preferred
  • Knowledge of hemodynamics, basic arrhythymia, basic pharmacology, 12
  • 1 year of previous experience in critical care, pre/post op, surgery or emergency medicine - Required
  • BLS - Required
