MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Work with Lead Field Engineer to complete all phases of installation projects. Tasks including rack assembly, equipment placement and equipment mounting are to be performed in accordance with system diagrams, both in-house and on-site. System cabling is performed in accordance with system diagrams, both in-house and on-site. Termination is performed in accordance with system diagrams, both in-house and on-site. Equipment external to racks is installed and custom panels or products are fabricated as directed by Lead Field Technician or Sales Engineer. Assigned tasks relating to job site work are maintained in an organized and clean manner. Assigned tasks are regularly completed within the budgeted time, & performed to meet or exceed quality standards established at SKC. Provide feedback to facilitate improvements to the installation process. Provide any other support to ensure SKC operates up to standards on a daily basis. General knowledge of construction & AV industry. Ability to read schematic diagrams and building drawings. Ability to lead mid-level projects. Develop project plan & execute within time goals & quality standards for project. Ability to problem solve in order to keep project on time and budget. Ability to work with clients on system functionality and project issues and planning. Document project changes and communicate back to project management, provide all documents at close of project. Control system knowledge, Audio DSP1. Ability to train employees and clients on room systems. Lead technician on highest level of AV systems. Possesses advanced control system knowledge & audio DSP II (ability to write audio code and take existing code & produce quality improvements). Expert level in trouble shooting AV systems. Skills to make system changes & problem solve on an expert level. Ability to provide expert level training. Ability to provide the highest level of leadership & controlling situations in a high stress environment. Proven ability to task and lead teams of 7+ efficiently (Internal employees & Subcontractors) Provide all closing documents within the specified window following the project installation end date. Demonstrates a working advanced knowledge of construction processes and demonstrates an advanced level of ability to interface with different trades communicating critical task milestones necessary for SKC to be successful. Provide any other support to ensure SKC operates up to standards on a daily basis. Provide feedback to facilitate improvements to the installation process and tier progression of technicians. INFOCOMM CTS-I certification or ability to possess within 6 months of date of hire. Provide any other support to ensure SKC operates up to standards on a daily basis. Travel 50-75% QUALIFICATIONS Education College/Technical degree preferred Experience Level 1 0 + years Level 2 2 + years Level 3 3 + years Level 4 5 + years General Qualifications Ability to analyze customer situations, make decisions and solve problems under pressure. Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and detail. Basic numeric skills. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with management, co-workers, clients and vendors. Ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, in groups, and via telephone and written communication. Ability to travel. Ability to sit for long periods of time entering computer data, researching leads, and telephone communication (up to eight (8) hours). Ability to be detail oriented, work without supervision and must be available during working hours.
