Tooling Co-op

Job Description Summary

AAM is looking for a dedicated, self-motivated individual to fill our Tooling Co-op position. This position will work with the Tooling Supervisor at Oxford Forge. Part of the job is creating temporary molds, dies, or fixtures specifically designed for the Forge.

Job Description

  • Receipting and putting away of tooling. Verifying tooling matches the tooling prints.
  • Helping to fully integrate our online tooling system.
  • Tooling quality: verifying used tools conform to prints and disposition.
  • Tooling 5s making sure tools and tooling areas are to standard.
  • Helping to reduce tooling costs.
  • Helping to process engineering changes.
  • Tooling Prototypes

Required Skills and Education

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required
  • Auto-Cad is a plus
