Job Opportunity: Software Development Engineer 3

Join a dynamic team within a prominent organization dedicated to technological advancement in support of its global mission. We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer 3 to contribute to our Membership and Statistical Records (MSR) Portfolio. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in the maintenance of our worldwide membership records system.

As a Software Development Engineer 3, you'll utilize your expertise as a seasoned full-stack engineer to independently tackle tasks and assignments. Reporting to a Software Development Manager, project technical lead, or team, you'll leverage your solid grasp of technology and programming languages to analyze, design, debug, test, and modify various technology-related products and systems. Operating within our software development group, you'll exercise judgment in problem-solving and may even lead small teams or projects.

Your work will be guided by a higher purpose, contributing to technology that supports our mission and reflects our values.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop and implement strategies to support team-wide development goals

- Analyze functional requirements and contribute to their refinement

- Mentor junior developers and step in as a technical lead when necessary

- Create technical designs aligned with functional requirements

- Provide accurate estimates for development tasks

- Write source code and conduct unit tests based on technical designs

- Engage in collaborative code reviews

- Support requirement-driven processes and collaborate with User Experience Professionals

- Contribute to technical documentation efforts

- Participate in the Problem Management process and troubleshoot issues

- (Manager discretion) Implement measures to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

- Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience

- Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies

- Proficiency in full-stack engineering, including troubleshooting, web technology, and programming

- Familiarity with Cloud Based Platforms and services

- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages

- Comfortable working in a professional office environment with potential physical requirements

**Preferred:**

- Experience with complex, large-scale systems

- Proficiency in Java/Kotlin backend development
